Just a day after his dominant victory over Leon Edwards at London`s O2 Arena, Sean Brady is still making light of his opponent.
Welterweight contender Brady handed Edwards his first UFC stoppage loss with a fourth-round submission, having already won the first three rounds on points. The tension between the fighters was evident before the match, and it seems to have continued even after the fight.
Immediately after the fight, Brady ridiculed Edwards for tapping out in front of his home fans, stating he`d rather be knocked out. He has continued his jibes at Edwards on social media even after securing the win.
Sean Brady`s Trolling of Leon Edwards Continues Post-UFC London
Sean Brady`s animosity towards Leon Edwards appears to persist even after their battle in the octagon. While it`s customary in combat sports to show sportsmanship after a fight, Brady is keeping the rivalry alive.
Brady is still teasing Edwards by referencing his “Head shot dead” slogan on his Instagram story. In a photo with his team, Brady wrote: “`Head shot dead`? You guys don`t even have guns in London.” He added several laughing emojis to his message.
This follows his post-fight press conference remarks: “I dominated Leon, winning every round, something no one else has done. Then I submitted him, making him quit in front of his hometown crowd. If we were in Philly, you wouldn`t make me quit in front of my people; I`d rather go to sleep. Remember that.”
Belal Muhammad Joins in Mocking Leon Edwards After UFC London Loss
Brady wasn`t the only one to target Edwards on social media after UFC London. Belal Muhammad also enjoyed watching his rivals fight. While Muhammad jokingly accused Brady of copying his tactics, most of his online comments were directed at Edwards.
Muhammad also mocked the “headshot dead” phrase and coach Dave Lovell`s “don’t let him bully you, Leon” advice.
A significant factor in Edwards` previous loss to Muhammad was the early morning fight time in Manchester. Muhammad also alluded to this, asking: “What time is it in London.. asking for Leon.”
