PGA Tour 2K25`s second season has officially commenced, delivering fresh updates that developer HB Studios and publisher 2K Games hope will enhance the experience for virtual golf enthusiasts.
The standout addition of the new season is the Challenges mode. This mode creatively combines intricate golf scenarios with light RPG elements. Players are placed on a map, where they can forge their own path to complete challenges and earn rewards. While rooted in authentic golf gameplay, some missions introduce a more arcade-style approach for added variety.
In these scenarios, players are required to meet specific conditions, often with unique modifiers that either help or hinder their task. For instance, a player might need to guide their shots precisely through a sequence of floating rings.
Some challenges are inspired by memorable moments in golf history, prompting players to replicate the sport`s most iconic shots. HB Studios plans to continuously expand and refine this mode with each new season. Additionally, a completely new course designed specifically for this mode, developed in partnership with Charles Schwab, is scheduled for release in the near future.
Furthermore, Season 2 introduces the historic Old Course at St. Andrews to PGA Tour 2K25. Alongside this renowned course, players can unlock a variety of new rewards, including upgrades, enhancements, and apparel. A notable new feature is a shot type called the Long Flop. It offers more power than the standard Flop Shot but maintains a similar high trajectory, spin, and run, making it a useful option for adjusting after a shot that landed slightly short.
