Paddy Pimblett celebrated his recent MMA victory in a big way.
After defeating Michael Chandler by TKO in the third round at UFC 314 last weekend, `The Baddy` enjoyed his win.
The lightweight fighter partied in Miami and then returned to his home in Liverpool, England.
Known for enjoying junk food, Paddy Pimblett has been indulging himself since the fight.
Paddy Pimblett Reveals Post-UFC 314 Weight
In a recent interview, Pimblett spoke with Bruce Buffer.
Buffer asked Pimblett about his well-known tendency to gain weight between fights.
Pimblett admitted that he has gained 42lbs since his last weigh-in for UFC 314, where he was 156lbs.
“I had about five milkshakes after the fight,” he mentioned.
“This morning, I woke up at 198lbs, which I consider fat.”
“That’s usually my heaviest. I rarely reach 200lbs.”
“Except in the United States. The food there makes me gain weight quickly.”
“I become much bigger in the US, but in the UK, my weight usually peaks around 195lbs.”
Pimblett believes large portions and free refills in the US contribute to his weight gain.
Now back home, Pimblett can maintain his training until his next UFC fight is scheduled.
What`s Next for Paddy Pimblett?
Pimblett has mentioned former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira as a potential opponent after UFC 314.
However, he is willing to face anyone who can pave the way for a title shot.
Ideally, the fighter from Liverpool would like to compete against a top-five lightweight opponent in the Middle East later this year.
Pimblett stated, “I just want to fight.”
“I want to fight whoever will give me a title shot.”
“My plan before this fight was to compete in Abu Dhabi in October.”
“I’ve always wanted to fight there. The UFC usually holds a pay-per-view event there in October.”
“I think it would be the perfect time for my return. I can rest over the summer, continue training, manage my weight, and then start camp again in August or September.”
