Novak Djokovic Reaches Miami Final for 20th Consecutive Season, Equaling Federer’s Record

Sports News

Novak Djokovic defeated Grigor Dimitrov, world No. 15, in the Miami tournament semi-final, reaching his 60th Masters final and extending his own tour record. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has now equaled Andre Agassi`s record for the most Miami Masters finals appearances, with both players having reached the final eight times.

At 37 years and 10 months old, Djokovic is the oldest player to ever reach a Masters final, surpassing Roger Federer. Federer previously held the record, reaching the Indian Wells final in 2019 at 37 years and 7 months old (losing to Dominic Thiem) and the Miami final in the same year (defeating John Isner).

Djokovic has now reached an ATP final in 20 consecutive seasons (2006-2025), matching Federer`s record set between 2000 and 2019.

This will be Djokovic`s 142nd ATP-level final overall. He is aiming for his 100th career title and will compete against Taylor Fritz or Jakub Mensik in the final.
