"It Always Ends Nervously with Popyrin": Safiullin on Miami Masters Third Round

Russian tennis player Roman Safiullin shared his thoughts after winning his second-round match at the Miami Masters in the USA. He defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin with a score of 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 7-5.

Safiullin`s next opponent will be Jakub Mensik from the Czech Republic.

"Today`s match was tense, as it usually is when I play against Popyrin. Our matches are always nerve-wracking. Fortunately, I served well and pulled myself together towards the end of the third set."

"I`ve managed to find good form here in Miami, and I hope to continue in the same way."

"Regarding the match with Mensik, I know he is a good player, but I have never played against him before. I will prepare and do my best," said Safiullin.
