Goran Ivanisevic, Novak Djokovic`s former coach, shared his perspective on the GOAT debate in tennis during an interview on football coach Slaven Bilic`s podcast. Ivanisevic believes that Djokovic is superior to both Roger Federer of Switzerland and Rafael Nadal of Spain.
“These three are the greatest players ever. Federer played the most aesthetically pleasing tennis. Even when he wasn`t at his best, his matches were enjoyable to watch.”
“Rafa is a fighter, a true warrior. Nadal fought until he had nothing left. He gave everything on the court, winning Roland Garros 14 times, a feat that will likely never be repeated. However, Djokovic is the most complete player of them all and the greatest in history,” Ivanisevic stated.
