Former world No. 6 Gilles Simon has identified the two tennis matches that have stayed with him the most.
In an interview with Gael Monfils, Simon stated, “For me, Nadal`s victory over Federer at Wimbledon for the first time in 2008 stands out more than Nadal against Djokovic at the 2012 Australian Open. Also, the Australian Open final between Nadal and Federer in 2017, especially considering Roger was returning from injury. At that time, there was uncertainty about whether he would even continue his career.”
