Leon Edwards continues to receive family support after experiencing his first stoppage loss in his UFC career.
The Birmingham fighter was largely outmatched for four rounds before being submitted by Sean Brady at UFC London on Saturday night. Following the loss of his title to Belal Muhammad last summer, a victory in his home country was expected to pave the way for another championship opportunity.
However, Brady showcased impressive grappling skills and wore down the former champion in a demanding fight that led some fans to leave early. While Leon Edwards has remained silent since the fight, his brother, Fabian Edwards, a two-time Bellator title contender and PFL competitor, expressed his support on Instagram stories.
Fabian Edwards Breaks Silence After UFC London
Leon Edwards has chosen to refrain from public statements after the fight, privately processing his defeat. However, his brother Fabian shared a brief message on his Instagram story, demonstrating solidarity with his older brother.
Fabian Edwards, familiar with the pressures of headlining major events and experiencing defeat on a large stage himself, having twice competed for the Bellator title against Johnny Eblen, with his brother always in his corner, understands Leon’s situation.
The younger Edwards posted a photo of himself with his brother on his Instagram story, captioning it: “Always be in your corner.”
Sean Brady`s Unassuming Victory After Defeating Leon Edwards
Significant tension preceded Saturday’s UFC London main event, highlighted by Brady and Edwards’ refusal to touch gloves before the fight began. Brady`s victory did little to ease the animosity, as relations remained strained between the two.

“I dominated Leon, won every round,” Brady stated assertively at the post-fight press conference, also challenging Belal Muhammad to a rematch for the title. “Nobody has ever done it like me.”
“And then I submitted him and made him quit in front of his hometown. If we were in Philly, you wouldn’t make me quit in front of my hometown, I’m telling you that. I’m going to sleep, son. So just remember that.”
