Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka on her victory at the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, USA. In the final match, she defeated American Jessica Pegula, who is ranked fifth in the world, with a score of 7-5, 6-2.
In his statement, Lukashenko said: “Congratulations on your win in Miami! With your powerful, consistent, and beautiful play, you have once again proven your leading position in women`s world tennis. We are proud of your achievements and always support you. I wish you strong health and further victories.”
This victory in Miami marks the 19th singles title of Aryna Sabalenka`s career. It is also her eighth WTA 1000 title and her second of this year.
