Today marks the 24th birthday of Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova. We extend our congratulations to Anastasia and wish her continued success both on and off the court.
Born on March 30, 2001, in Saratov, Russia, Anastasia was introduced to tennis at the age of five. Since 2013, she has been honing her skills at the Alexander Ostrovsky Academy.
Potapova`s junior career was highlighted by winning the junior Wimbledon title in 2016, which propelled her to become the world`s top-ranked junior player. She also reached the finals of the junior US Open in 2015, and the junior French Open in both 2016 and 2017.
To date, Anastasia has secured three WTA singles titles. She triumphed in Istanbul in 2022, Linz in 2023, and Cluj-Napoca in 2025. Throughout her career, she has earned over $4.5 million in prize money.
In June 2023, Potapova achieved her career-high ranking of world No. 21. She is currently ranked No. 38 in the world.
Anastasia married Alexander Shevchenko in December 2023, but they divorced in November 2024.
