Filipino tennis player Alexandra Eala, currently ranked world No. 73, has reflected on the crucial elements that propelled her to a surprising semi-final appearance at the WTA 1000 Miami Open.
“My development as a tennis player is undeniable. I`ve made substantial strides in both my technical abilities and my tactical awareness on the court. My physical conditioning has also improved significantly in the last year. These elements are definitely contributing to my performance, especially when I`m playing at my peak.”
“I believe a strategic approach is paramount. It`s crucial to concentrate on enhancing and utilizing your own strengths, rather than overthinking your opponent. While acknowledging some aspects of an opponent`s game is necessary, getting too caught up in it is not helpful. It`s about focusing on each point as it comes,” Eala stated.
